Gani Adams To Host Yorubaland Security Stakeholders Summit On Monday

An all inclusive Yoruba stakeholders summit on security, has been scheduled to hold in Lagos, on Monday, the 8th of December, with the Aare Ona-kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams,as host.

The Summit which will hold at 10 Degree Event Centre, Billing Way, Oregun, Lagos, is with the Theme: Towards A United Front Against Insecurity In Yoruba Land.

US Army veteran and Security analyst, Mr Abiodun Oseni and Prof’ Anthony Kila, a Professor of strategy and development, economic and security are guest speakers. They will be speaking on the topic: Kidnapping and Banditry in broader perspective and Strategies for combating insecurity in Yorubaland, respectively.

Expected guests of honour at the planned intellectual roundtable are Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fashonronti, Professor Joseph Oluwasanmi, Yoruba Council Of Elders Leader, Afenifere Leader and the Alaago of Kajola,Alaago Ijeshaland, Oba Oladipo Olaitan and the Leader of Yoruba Youth forum, Arch Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, while Rtd Commissioner of Police, ACP, Barrister, Joki Lasisi is discussant.

The Summit enjoys the partnership of about 50 indigenous organisations, including Afenifere, Yoruba Council of Elders, Yoruba Unity Forum, Oodua Peoples Congress, Oodua Progressive Union, Oodua Unity Group, Yoruba One Voice, Oodua Youth Movement, Vigilante Groups Of Nigeria, Agbekoya Peace Movement, Professional Hunters, Community Security Awareness Initiative, National Hunters Association, Yoruba Liberation Group, Obinrin Oodua, Agbekoya Solidarity Movement Of Nigeria and Oodua Warrior.

Others include, Agbekoya Society, Egbe Ilosiwaju Ile Yoruba, United Yoruba Kingdom Oodua Foundation, Yoruba Nfe Alafia, Omo Yoruba Jimasun, Afonja Descendant Union, Yoruba Defence Group, Agbekoya Solid Senior Support, Yoruba Ronu, Asebori Warriors Group, Yeye Oge Ome Yoruba Culture Organisation, Ile Agbara Oodua, Yoruba Peoples Congress, Federation of Yoruba Consciousness and Culture, Hunters Group Ondo State and Omo Oodua United among others.
