The All Nigeria Community,(ANC) Ghana Chapter, has congratulated Ghana President; President John Dramani Mahama, on his conferment with the title, Aare Atayeto of Oodua, by the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
In a message congratulating the Ghanian president on the title, the ANC president, Chief Bayo Albert Asaolu, described the traditional recognition from the worldwide source of the Yoruba race as deserving.
The message is contained in a statement signed by Moses Owopade, the SA Media to the ANC President, Ashaolu declaring that ”as the President of Ghana we can all see the activity of the President in fostering stronger unity in the sub region. We believe that the new title of ‘Atayeto’ which means the rebuilder, will enhance the ability of President Mahama to do more in this regard”
Ashaolu said the vision of President Mahama to reset Ghana as well as affect other West African sub region states positively, may tempt one to say the Ooni Of Ife, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ojaja the second has Conferred the right tittle on the President.
The ANC boss challenged the citizens of the region not to engage in activities that can affect the good vision of leaders like Mahama, to accomplish their intention of making the region a world model. ‘As for us at ANC we shall be committed to building stronger collaboration with our leaders” he said.
Ashaolu also condemned the intruder to the smooth democracy that the region is enjoying. ‘I add my voice on military take over of power in few countries in the region and the failed one in Benin Republic”
He concluded by praying for President Mahama that God will give him the wisdom to continue to offer exemplary leadership in Ghana and the region at large.
