Osun State Government led by the amieable Dancing Governor took a bold and strategic step in reclaiming its traditional ownership of Adire with the introduction of the maiden Adire Osun Festival 2025.
The colourful highlight of the event was the Yorucentric and very colourful Adire Osun Street Carnival parade showcasing cultural iconic structures like Ori-Olokun,Arugba,
Ogedengbe Sango, Mama Nike Okundaye (Nike Gallery) also had a beautiful floatila structured in her honour showcasing her usual colourful Carnival like Gele as
the Adire Osun Queen and Global Ambassador .
His Excellency Governor Ademola Adelekes floatila structure won the day with its signature Cap at a height of 14 feet moving through the major metropolis of Osogbo in glamour and style,being the focus of all eyes
All the iconic structures had revellers with beautifully crafted costumes dancing all the way.
Other attractions included an Adire Osun bike parade , celebrated Horse parade ,Skaters,Agere showcase amongst many others. It was indeed a great spectacle as Osogbo came to a standstil for hours as the people witnessed and enjoyed the major Adire evolution.
The festival came to an end with the Adire Osun Festival Concert that featured an array of Stars Odot Taiye Currency Shina Peters Bred and many others
The Adire Osun Export Summit also highlighted the massive gains of the Adire Evolution through the projected creation of Adire Hubs ,Youth Engagement ,Empowerment and Employment amongst others
